Michael Antonelli
PWM Market Strategist | Managing Director
Michael graduated from Purdue University in 1995 with a degree in history and moved to CT to work in the back office of AIG trading. He moved to Chicago in 1997 to work in the back office of Dean Witter's futures division before moving to a 24-hour trading desk in 1999 to execute futures and options for Fimat, a division of Societe Generale.
He got his MBA at the University of Chicago in 2007 before coming to Baird on the Equity Trading Desk in March 2007 as a Sales Trader, assigned to the International team.
Michael began writing a daily email in 2010 as a way to let overseas clients know what happened while they slept. He started posting it online in 2013 and it is now the Bull and Baird blog.
Kathy Blake Carey, CFA®
Director of Research & Advanced Planning | Director
Kathy Carey is Director of Research for Baird’s Private Wealth Management group. In this role, she oversees the following Research Teams:
- Asset Manager Research
- Equity and Fixed Income Research
- Value Equity Research
She is a co-portfolio manager for the ALIGN Strategic Portfolios where she is involved with investment, asset allocation and rebalancing decisions, as well as due diligence of the portfolios. Additionally, she is a voting member of Baird’s Equity Recommended Portfolio and sits on the firm’s Investment Policy Committee.
Previously, Kathy spent nine years as an equity analyst and sector portfolio manager with Mason Street Advisors, the public investment subsidiary of Northwestern Mutual. Before that, she was a senior associate in Baird’s Equity Research Department covering Utilities and Financial Technology for four years.

Baird Specialized Asset Management Portfolio Manager
Our team works closely with Baird’s Specialized Asset Management (SAM) team. With an average of 21 years of asset management experience, their portfolios offer a customized, multi-asset class and discretionary solution designed for our high-net-worth clients. Portfolios combine high-quality companies with complementary asset classes using mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs). These easy-to-understand solutions are customizable, tax-efficient and designed to weather tough markets.

Gordon Pan
Baird Capital
Gordon is the President of Baird Capital. In this capacity, Gordon oversees the strategic, operational and organizational activities for Baird’s direct private investment business. In addition, he serves as the Chairman of the Investment Committee for Baird Capital's venture and global private equity funds.
Prior to joining Baird, he served as a principal with One Equity Partners. Gordon was also the founder and CEO of The Pangaea Group, an international consulting firm, that specialized in assisting the portfolio companies of private equity firms establish strategic alliances in China.
Gordon currently serves on Baird's Executive Committee, the advisory board for Team IMPACT and the Private Equity and Venture Capital advisory committee at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Gordon earned a B.A. in economics and Asian studies from Colgate University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management with a concentration in finance and management strategy.
Diane Omdahl
Medicare Expert - 65 Incorporated
For more than 30 years, Diane has been a true pioneer in the field of Medicare. She's a registered nurse who launched her first company in the basement of her home and grew it into a multi-million dollar company providing of Medicare-related training and tools for home health agencies and long-term care facilities.
Today, through her newest companies, 65 Incorporated and i65, Diane uses her extensive experience to provide today's seniors, their families, and their professional advisors with unbiased, expert Medicare enrollment guidance through fee-for-service consultations and online software.
Diane is also a very experienced and highly-rated speaker. Over her career, she has delivered more than 400 Medicare-related audio conferences, 200 educational sessions, and 100 in-depth two-day seminars. In the recent past, Diane has presented at Bob Veres' Insider Forum and NAPFA and LPL conferences, along with webinars for Certified Senior Advisors, Women's Financial Empowerment Network, and Resilient Advisor.
Diane has also worked with some of the nation’s foremost corporations, like PBS and Macmillan Publishing, to provide their human resources staff, employees and retirees with expert, unbiased Medicare consultation and speaking services.
Diane has been featured in publications such as The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal Market Watch, CBS MoneyWatch, Kiplinger, The Huffington Post, CNBC, Kitces, and many more. She also served as a technical expert for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the organization that runs the Medicare program.
Nicholas Bohnsack
Head of Quantitative Research - Strategas
Mr. Bohnsack is a founding partner of Strategas and the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Firm's brokerdealer, and principal operating subsidiary, Strategas Securities, LLC.
Mr. Bohnsack directs the Firm's equity sector and global asset allocation research efforts. He has been a regular guest on business news programs and has been widely quoted in the domestic and foreign press, particularly for his work on corporate profits and market valuation.
Prior to co-founding Strategas, Nicholas was an Investment Strategist and Associate Managing Director with International Strategy & Investment (ISI) Group. Nicholas began his career in the Investment Banking Group at FactSet and in Restricted Securities at Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Bohnsack received his MS in Mathematics from Fairfield University and received bachelor's degrees in Economics and Finance from Bryant University. He is a member of the Board of Advisors at Bryant University's College of Business. Nicholas and his wife, Brooke, live in Connecticut with their three sons.
